Hello my classmates and my friends,

We almost finish this course, so I write to you this blog to tell you that I was very happy in this class and you are very nice classmates and friends. Thank you for these wonderful 10 weeks with you. I will not forget this time when we worked hard together and helped each other to improve our English. Also, congratulations for everyone about the research project that we got today. I hope you will have great final marks and achieve all your goals.

Research Project: Intercultural Marriage

Yuppyyyyyy we finished the research paper, I cannot believe that. I really missed my family and my friends because I was doing my research paper and I could not see them during the period of research project.
It is really a nice experience and a nice challenge to write about something we did not have a good background about it or even if we have a basic of our paper, the big challenge was how to do it in English which is not our first language.
When I submitted this paper, I was really happy.
I have learned from this project how to finish a complete work on time. Moreover, I have learned the citation and how to find a good information that is related to my topic. Furthermore, because my topic was Intercultural Marriage, so I answered my question which was how is the relationship between couple of different religion, values or social class. It is very interesting to know about them and to know what problems they may face and what are the reasons to marry someone with different cultural background.
I hope you will enjoy my presentation and get the idea of intercultural marriage and try to identify yourself if you are one of the partners of intercultural couples.

Why do women own so many pairs of shoes?

Most women have a large collection of shoes while men only have 2-3 pairs of shoes. Men do not understand why.

The simple answer is because shoes display personality. Women have multiple personalities.

In fact, women like to wear different shoes in each different place:

-woman wants to lose weight: walking shoes.
-she is team soccer: running shoes.
-she is going to church formal shoes.
- in summer: she needs new pairs of sandals.
-in winter: she needs some new boots.
-she has got a conference with her son’s teacher: casual shoes.

But, not only because of different places, it is because women do not wear the same outfit everyday. Moreover, women like to fit the color of shoe with the color of clothes. Women say that the cannot wear red heals with peach skirt.

Population

Hello everybody,
First of all, have a nice weekend and I hope you enjoy it with your research papers :) .
Population is a nice topic. I like to talk about it because it is interesting. I’d like to answer the questions that are asked by Sherry. My father’s parents have 11 children. I know the number is big but that was accepted in the past. My mother’s parents have 8 children. About my parents, they have 5 children. I notice that the number of children is decreasing through new generations. I want to have 3-4 children.
I am going to talk about Jordan’s population because I grow up there. The population of Jordan is estimated 6 million. The explosion of population in Jordan is influenced by the growth of the quality of life such as the growth of health care services and the education levels. A lot of people migrated from rural areas to urban areas for many reasons such as better health care services, better education, better qualities of life. The consequences of that is the congestion in urban areas and specially in the capital of Jordan. Moreover, increase the number of unemployed people because everyone wants to have a modern job and nobody likes to work as a farmer in rural areas. So, it increased the farmlands without farming and build new buildings on it instead of farming.

Animal Experimentation

Now, we are living in a world of diseases such as AIDS, CANCER and H1N1. So, we need medicines and we need treatment for those people who are living in these diseases. We have to save this world and to save those people from harm.
What can we do?
Some people say that animal testing is the best way to help medical researchers to find treatment. Other people say why do we have to let the animals live in misery? Animals should live good lives because of their living beings.
So these two videos show the two sides of the issue. One side support the animal testing to find the solutions for these diseases. The another side against the animal testing and disagree to make the animals for tests and experiments.
Pro Animal Testing video admit that the animal testing can help a lot of people in this world. The statistics in this video make us feel guilty for those people. So, we have to find solution as possible as we can to save them and help others in the same situations.
Stop Animal Testing Now video defends animals from testing and shows that people should stop animal testing to protect them from harm and misery. It makes us feel guilty for these animals and try to save them.
In my opinion, if animal testing is the best solution to help people and to save who we love in this world, I support it. Even though it is a good solution, I would like to find other ways to find the treatment because we also have to protect animals from harm, not only people.

Reseach paper project

In advance 2 which is level 8, we have to write research paper. It is interesting but hard. It is interesting because we can talk about what we like and what we are interested in. But, the hardest step in the research paper is finding a good topic to research. At the beginning, I was really confused about the topic and I changed my topic many times. Now, I decided to write about Intermarriage (interracial marriage) because I really excited to know how is the relationships between interracial couples. I think the steps that come after finding a topic are easier. I hope to have a successful research paper, beneficial and interesting.

Redpath museum

Hello my teachers and my classmates,

I hope you are doing well and I hope you enjoyed the visit to the museum. I would like to thank Sherry and Lisa for this nice visit because I enjoyed a lot.
As what Lisa has asked us to answer the questions and talked about the museum and Darwin, I will answer the questions as the following.
First of all, this is not the first time for me to see the fossils and the theory of evolution in the museum. I have seen it before but this time I learned more and more about Darwin. I have learned how Darwin start perceiving his theory and about his voyage. I think his voyage was so interesting because I interested in biology and geology. In addition, I have just realized the different between natural selection and artificial selection because I found it hard when I was in my high school.
My favorite part of this visit was learning the evolution in English and saw the taxidermy. So, this was my strangest thing I have seen. The taxidermy was fantastic and it was like real animals. But, I did not see anything that had surprised me. Actually, I was scared from animals because I do not like animals and I scared from most of them.
Finally, I would like to visit the museum again with my friends to take photos because I forgot my camera at the first time. Also, I would like to recommend everyone, not only my family and my friends, to visit museum because it is a very interesting experience to see others' cultures such as the mummy in Egypt and the style of shoes in China. We have to thank all people who contribute to have a successful museum.
